A customer in Yorktown Heights, NY had a problem with ground water making his yard wet year round.  No only did this make the yard unusable, but it also caused the septic system to become flooded and ineffective.

Curtain Drain Used to Divert Water

Precision Excavating Inc. provided a solution to the customer – installation of a curtain drain on the perimeter of the yard and above the septic system.  The curtain drain was several feet deep and two feet wide, filled with gravel and left open on the surface for maximum drainage.
